This is a after video of a commercial repaint project that we painted in the Summer of 2016. There are 2 other videos on youtube.com in relation to this video, which are the before video, and the after video we took when we finished painting all the doors on this building, which was after all the exterior body, and trim was painted. We had 4 painters only on this entire project, which was a 10,000 square foot building, and it took us about a months time to finish it completely. We learned a great deal from this one project. It taught us to be a lot stronger, not to give up because there is a light at the end of those long tunnels, and to be fearless in terms of which projects we take on as a painting company. There aren't any that are to big to tackle now. Regardless of what was lost during this process, we still gained quite a bit in the end. We went through 3 to 4 painters during this time, as well as several thousand dollars on materials that was lost. We broke about even after everything was said and , however, with the knowledge we walked away with, as well as all the referrals, and other employees of this establishment that want us to work on their homes, we still came out on top. Plus I, Donny Purdon, the company owner, learned a great deal about bidding jobs correctly, about not bringing on just any painter that claims they have 100's of years experience and so on. I learned a great deal about life in general from this one project that has helped me in areas that don't pertain to work. Also, this is a facility that houses that mentally handicapped, and I had several encounters with those residents that made me realize how good I truly do have it. It also taught me how to love more, and care more, and the place was next to being condemned in terms of appearance, and had a very gloomy look, as well as all the residents, and employees were all very down, and just seemed miserable with their living quarters, and place of business. However, once we completed the project, about a month afterwards we returned to paint all the doors to the entrances of the building, which there were 24 in total, when we arrived the people that worked and lived there all came running, and giving us hugs, and high five, and shaking our hands, talking about how much they missed us, or how great it was to see us, and it was just unbelievable. When we did our walk of the perimeter we noticed that the plants even took on a new look and seemed to be filled with more life. We, all the painters, looked at one another and talked about how much more alive everything and everyone seemed to be since we had painted the place. I mean everything was brighter, and livelier, and the feeling and appearance was no longer gloomy and depressing, but vibrant, happy, energetic, and extremely full of life. This was one hell of an experience and even though I came out breaking even, I'd never had did things differently because of what I actually did gain from this project was priceless. Thank for reading, please watch those other videos related to this one on youtube, and please like and share them to help us crawl up that google ladder and gain higher rankings so we can bring that kind of life to everyone's homes and work places. It appears that the right colors truly do effect your way of thinking and acting. Well, again thanks for reading and until next time, happy painting..!!!

For residential painting contractors in Cincinnati, that has the skills and experience necessary to make the job look great, and the knowledge and know how to do the job right, then call Purdon's Pro Painting Plus at (513) 806-6047. We're insured, bonded, have our workers compensation, and have an accreditation with the Better Business Bureau, and the only painting company in the Cincinnati area that has an Interior Repaint Expert Certification. We are a painting company that is on a mission to better the industry. Even if it's to help one other company realize the importance of paint, painting, and the art of being a painter, and the view we get as a field of losers, boozers, and users. We don't have nearly the respect we deserve in the work force simply because there are so many people getting into this industry and claiming to be painters. WELL, I can assure you, with over 20 years experience in the painting business, that it takes much more than a pair of white pants, and a brush to call yourself a true painting expert. It takes years and years of experience. Painting isn't only about the colors, and making houses look pretty. It's about protection for your home and the surfaces in which need to be painted. Not only do you have to paint for looks, and the protection, but you have to know what goes with what, where it goes, how it is to be applied, why it should be applied, and when to apply it. There are certain primers that may need to be used, certain sealants/sealers, and even paints for certain areas. Not only are there interior paints for inside, and exterior paints for outside, but there are stains used for both as well, also stains for decks, siding, furniture, and so forth. There are paints used for the same thing as the stains listed above, and depending on where they need to be applied, determines which primers, and other products that need to be used, when applying each. Also, the finish/sheen is yet another important aspect of painting as well. Which sheen is best used for which surface? Which sheen should be used in your lighter, and or darker areas of your home, and that applies to the colors as well. There are a number of aspects that requires the skills and knowledge to do each correctly, otherwise you may be looking at a serious amount of money in correcting certain issues that come along with putting wrong stains, paints, stain blockers, an so forth, in the wrong areas. Because with a can of paint comes 4 main ingredients, and with each holds certain issues and complexities that can arise and if you do not have the knowledge on how to correct those issues, you could be looking at either a long drawn out process on finally getting those areas covered, and or corrected, or you could be faced with a problem that may just end your career, and shut the doors on your company. A lot of people look at us as just another hillbilly operation with bald heads and tattoos that call themselves painters trying to earn a buck. But for those of them that have given us that chance and hired us are more than happy that they made that choice and have used us for more projects, and referred us to friends and family. We are a legit company, and we have more than enough know how to make the job look amazing and last for a long time. So, when I am explaining something to you, please don't be thinking in the back of your head that I didn't do certain things because I am lazy, and or did not know what I was doing. I do know what I am doing, I just tell all of our customers the truth, not just want they want to hear. Other painting contractors are notorious for telling the customers everything that they wanna hear, and blowing smoke. However, they are telling them these things to make themselves look like they are overly qualified for the project, and or they know a lot about their industry. I don't sell dreams and or lies, I sell our product, and what we can do, not what we lie about being able to do. So, if you are in need of a painting contractor that operates an experienced crew of painters, and you are lving in Cincinnati Ohio, and want that painter to be honest, give you what you are truly paying for along with an amzing paint job that looks great and was done right, then call Purdon's Pro painting Plus today at (513) 806-6047. Thanks for reading, and until next time, Happy Painting..!

INTERIOR PAINTING: Choosing the right painting contractor for the job..!
When having interior painting done at your home for whatever reason, be it to sell your home, or just to update your home with new and popular colors, or simply just to refresh the colors you already have on your walls, you need to make sure you hire the right painting company for the job. Interior repainting is the most meticulous section of the painting industry and takes several years experience to get a quality job, and overall amazing look. If there are repairs, even if they are smaller repairs, you need to make sure that they are done correctly. Some painters don't have the knowledge of repairs. I have actually met quite a few that weren't to bad with a brush and roller, but had little to no experience in repairs. There may be a painter with 10 years experience, but it could have been in new construction, or commercial, or production painting, or even residential painting but strictly did exteriors. Just because they had that many years, does not mean that they are qualified on interior repaints. So, ask the painting contractor when he, or she comes to your home to give you the estimate, "how long have you been in the painting business?", "how many interiors have you painted during that time?", "how many of those were repaints?", "how many years experience does your crew members have?", "do you have referrals?", and so forth. Also make sure they are insured, bonded, and have workers compensation. You will know by the detailed answers you get, that are answered almost immediately following your questions if they are knowledgeable enough in the repaint industry. If they don't have all the answers, or if they seem unsire of certain aspects, then you most likely want to choose another painting contractor. There are different painting companies different parts of the industry. There are painting companies that specialize in interiors, some that specialize in exteriors, others specialize in commercial, or specialize in industrial, and so on and so forth. There are plenty that have experience in both interior and exterior painting for residential. But if your are choosing to have residential painting done, either interior or exterior painting, I would be sure to contact a painting contractor that specializes solely in residential. I would not call a company that has the signs that say residential/commercial painting company. To me that says we spent a little time in both industries and not enough in just one. And vice versa, if you are needing commercial work done, I'd go with a commercial painting company. They are out there, just do your homework, and research the painting companies near you, read the reviews, check there website, get referrals, etc. We are a Residential Painting Company located in Cincinnati Ohio. Our number one specialty in the residential painting industry is interior repaints. We have done every kind of painting imaginable, but where we have spent most of our career is on interiors. We can do new construction, production painting, or even commercial if we are needing the work, but where we are at our most comfortable is residential repaints on interiors especially. We also do quite a bit of residential exteriors as well. But our advertisements specify that we are a residential painting company that does both interiors and exteriors. So, if you are in the Cincinnati area, and need your house painted, either interior or exterior, we are the company for you. I am the owner of Purdon's Pro Painting Plus, and i am only one of 2 men in the united states that is an actual certified interior repaint expert. That is quite an honor to hold that title, and to be only 1 of 2 people in the entire United States that has that certificate. That was an amazing accomplishment for myself, and I let ALL of our customers know, so they know that they are definitely in the right hands with their homes. During the process of that 6 week course I learned a great dela regarding the materials painters use, which I was already very knowledgeable, however, I did know as much as I thought. Sadly enough, there are many painters that don't know as much as they'd like to think they do. I have over 20 plus years in the painting industry, and the things I learned during the course I would have never known had I not taken it. It's a great thing to know about what it is you use in whatever industry you are in. So, if you are a painter and you are reading this, I strongly advise for you to learn about paint itself. Also take the time to learn about other products as well. Items such as drywall mud, caulking, primers, stain blockers, bonding agents, and more importantly, the paint. Well, I hope this was of some value to someone out there. Thanks for reading, and until next time, Happy Painting..!

Get your walls, ceilings, and trims painted, and SAVE MONEY..!
To all you homeowners that are looking to get an upgrade to your home, however, don't have it in your budget to get the ceilings, walls, and trims painted, even though they all desperately need it. You can ask the painting contractor to let you purchase the ceiling and trim paint on his, or her account, and paint those areas yourself. It won't matter if you are going to get the paint on the walls. If they are a real professional painting company, then they should be able to apply to coats of paint to your walls, and make the cut lines even over the trim, and ceilings. The wall paint will cover the trim paint, as well as ceiling paint if you do carry the paint over onto the walls. You can even tape the trim off yourself. The should be able to generate a straight enough ;line themselves on the ceiling cut ins. Also, go with the semi gloss you use for your trim in the closets. Do the entire closet that way there are no uneven cuts. It will be durable against putting in things for storage, as well as create a lot of light for you with the reflections from the gloss. All you'll need the painting contractor for is to bring his or her painters and paint your walls. If they don't allow you to use their account at the local paint store, then they probably are not worth using after all, and you can always call another one that I am sure would not mind. They should just be appreciative that you're hiring them for the work anyway. Also, you could wait until the winter time to do the project because the majority of your painting companies are holding specials, and offering discounts during the winter months due to the slow season. Well, hopefully this was helpful, and you gained some sort of value from this blog post, and until next time, Happy Painting..!

Getting what you pay for
http://www.purdonspropainting.com
When you are in need of anything, just anything in general, you always look for some sort of a bargain. At least I know I do, and the majority of the people I know, do as well. Be it shopping, going out to eat, hiring a contractor, or a company to receive service from, and so forth. You and I alike, look for the most reasonably priced, what-ever-the-heck it is, to save us money. Yet after everything is said and done, if you took the cheap route, chances are, you are not going to be happy with the results. When I'm hungry, and need a quick fix, I go to McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's, or some other fast food joint, and blow money on garbage food. However, after I finish eating, if I can actually finish the food, I end up regretting my choice. That just about goes with any thing I choose, when it is the cheap way out. The reason for name brand items is not "the money" quite like everyone would like to think, but it's about quality. Name brand items are usually made a great deal better than most other brands exact same items, which is why it has gotten to be a name brand in the first place, because of the quality, or just simply because it's better. You don't go to McDonald's to buy a T-bone steak, nor do you go to Wal Mart to buy Nike or Reebok shoes, or to buy Banana Republic clothing for that matter. Nope, you go to Wal Mart to get Route 66, or Wranglers, because they are cheap. However, is that really your safest and best bet when having your home or your vehicle worked on? Not really. So why try to search for the cheapest contractor in the city to provide you services? Chances are, you will be getting exactly what you pay for....which is, cheap service. I know that I don't have hundreds of dollars lying around to just throw into having work done on my home that isn't going to last, or even work properly. I am going to go with a company that I know is going to provide incredible service. Because I'd rather purchase service once every 10 years or so, than every year or 2. If you have a painting contractor coming over to bid on your home, and he just simply throws a low number out there without giving specifics as to why he is bidding so low, other than to win the job, or why it will cost less going with them, then you may want to watch out choosing that company. If they can't offer quality, or more value with their service, then ask yourself if they are the right choice, regardless how cheap. Because we've already established that cheap is not always the way to go, especially when it counts the most. I have dealt with a lot of homeowners/customers that thought everyone can paint, and that it literally should be inexpensive to paint their entire interior, and or exterior. Well, in my opinion, any body can slap paint on a wall, but only an experienced painter, with good customer service, and their best interests in mind, knows how to do it right, in terms of appearance, and durability. So, next time you are looking for a painting contractor to bid your home, don't look for the cheapest contractor in town, and worry solely about pricing. It may cost you less in the long run, and the job will end up being a great deal better, not only with the look, but with the quality of how long it will last, and how well it will hold up. So, when choosing a company for work on your home, do your research, and remember cheap is not always best. I once heard that it's better to have a little of great stuff than a lot of junk. Thanks for reading, and until next time, Happy Painting!!!

PrOhio Painting 101
When people call a plumber they automatically know they're paying for them to just come and take a look at your plumbing, and tell you what's wrong. Then, they know that if he actually fixes your issue, it's going to be several hundred dollars for just a couple of hours. If it takes days, you're going to be looking at several 1000. When remediation and cleanup companies come out and do mold remediation and removal it's well over 5 grand or more for a few days work. Carpentry-few grand for a few days, remodeling-few grand for a few days, TV repairmen-few hundred for a few hours, appliance repairmen-few hundred for a few hours, carpet installation-several hundred for a few hours, and the list goes on. However, when a painter comes looks at your house to tell you what it will take, people think it should be, and it typically is, free. But they also think that painters should come in, paint their entire home, which can take several days depending the size of the home, and do the work for a couple to a few hundred dollars. I don't understand what has happene to make people think this way but it is like a slap in the face to go estimate someone's home and them wanting their entire house painted and think that it should cost them a couple hundred dollars to do so. Painting is one of the hardest jobs there is in the construction industry due to it's tediousness. It's certainly one of, if not the most, noticeable job you can have done. It's overall the job that makes your home look great or not. You could have had a great carpenter do the carpentry work, but if it isn't painted right, now painted at all, it will not look all that great. If your plumbing was fixed, you can't see it, so was it really? Painting, it shows, and you'll know if the job looks good or not. Now, there is certainly a better way to approach a painting project that can make it not only look great but make it last longer. It is the most overlooked, underrated constuction job out there, and I really wish people would give us painter the respect that we deserve. Heck, the cost of paint alone is high dollar. So why would material be so expensive and yet the labor be so cheap? It isn't. Fact is, painting is very hard work. That's why your local hardware, and home improvement stores have every installation crew known to man but yet none have a painting crew. I was by no means being disrespectful during this blog post, I was just mentioning the obvious to gain painters their respect back. It's just a post to get people who want painting done to understand the nature of the job and how hard it actually is, and that it should not be considered an easy task that does not pay much, it's actually what makes your home it's most beautiful. So please, if you are looking to have your home painted, just know that it should not be done for little to nothing, it will most likely take several thousand to have your entire home painted, RIGHT. Thanks for reading, no disrespect intended, and until next time, Happy Painting!
